Welcome to Teatro Nua

Teatro Nua was formed in 2022 by Kyron Bourke, Bernie Bourke, and Padraig Dooney. Their aim was to produce their work under a brand name that spoke to their background and shared passions. The Bourke family has been part of the Dublin theatrical scene for over a century, and Kyron has continued the family tradition in his adopted hometown, Belfast. The iconic restaurant and music venue 'Teatro' that he ran with his partner Fleur Jackson for many years was inspired by this rich theatrical heritage, and in turn lends its name to the company. The ‘Nua’ is a nod to their shared passion for the Irish language.
